Some of you have picked up this mag and made the decision—either for the very first time or the umpteenth time—to get fit, build a strong and sculpted body, and feel confident in your skin. I’m cheering for you. But let me ask you a question: Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to get the results you’re after? It’s frustrating, I know.

But here’s the truth… It might not be your body holding you back. It might be your mind. The biggest mistakes women make when they want to transform their bodies aren’t about skipping workouts or eating the wrong foods. It all starts with limiting beliefs. We all have had thoughts like “I don’t have time,” or “I’ll never look like that—why bother?” Sound familiar? These thoughts are so common, a lot of women feel this way at some point. But these thoughts are also holding you back from a life you deserve, because here’s the kicker: your body follows where your mind leads. So if you believe you’re limited, you are. But, what if you believe you’re strong? Well now, that is where the magic happens. Here are three key pillars to put your new mindset into action.

"Your body follows where your mind leads."

1. Strength Training  =  Your Secret Weapon

If you’re just doing cardio or skipping weights because you’re afraid of “bulking up,” it’s time you hopped off that outdated, useless train of thought. You’re going to build a beautiful X frame—muscle that defines your shoulders and back, tightens your core, and shapes your glutes. Start small, and progress each week. Strength equals confidence.

2. Nutrition  =  Fuel For Your Fit Body

We’ve all heard it a million times: You can’t out train a bad diet. But here’s the deal… Eating for fitness is not about restriction or deprivation. It’s about nourishing your body with the right foods that fuel your workouts, help you recover, and keep you energized all day. Focus on lean proteins to build muscle; lots of veggies for vitamins and fiber; and healthy fats to support your hormones and brain. Meal prep, meal prep, meal prep. I’m telling you, it’s a life saver.

3. Community  =  Your Power Source

Going at it alone is tough. That’s why being part of a supportive community of like-minded women is key to staying motivated and accountable. Whether it’s a workout group, a fitness challenge, or a group of women who are cheering you on, having that support can make all the difference.

You are so much more powerful than you realize. And, at the end of the day, you deserve to feel unstoppable. Here’s to absolutely smashing those limited beliefs you may have, to become the most capable and confident version of you.
